A1 Poster – The Welcome Statement

At 594 × 841 mm (23.4 × 33.1 inches), A1 signage is designed for scale and presence. It works best at the entrance to the ceremony or reception, beside the seating plan, or near the welcome table.

At this size, the welcome message carries emotional weight while the QR code plays a supporting role. The code should sit lower in the composition with generous whitespace to preserve visual balance and scanning reliability.

A matte finish mounted on foamcore keeps the board flat and avoids glare under venue lighting. A1 signage performs one job exceptionally well: it builds early momentum for uploads as guests arrive.

A4 Poster – Practical and Versatile

A4 (210 × 297 mm / 8.27 × 11.69 inches) is one of the most practical formats. It can be printed easily at home or by venues using standard printers and fits neatly into common frames with light trimming.

Because the format offers generous space, instructions can be slightly more descriptive without crowding the layout. This improves comprehension at a glance.

A4 works well in transitional areas such as drinks reception bars, cake displays, guest book tables, or positioned discreetly in front of the top table.

Printed on 300–350gsm uncoated cardstock, it feels substantial without requiring specialist production.

A5 Table Card – Repetition and Visibility

A5 (148 × 210 mm before folding) works especially well as a folded tent card placed centrally on dining tables.

This format benefits from repetition. When each table includes the same prompt, scanning becomes a shared behaviour rather than an isolated action.

Because guests are seated and scanning from close range, the QR code can be sized appropriately for near-field detection. Clear margins and strong contrast remain essential.

A5 signage integrates naturally alongside table numbers and menus without dominating the setting.

A6 Postcard – Compact and Highly Effective

At 105 × 148 mm (4.1 × 5.8 inches), the A6 postcard is compact, versatile, and highly practical.

It can be placed at individual settings, tucked into menus, or later included in thank-you cards to capture any remaining uploads after the wedding day.

Because of its smaller footprint, layout discipline is critical. The QR code must maintain sufficient size and clear whitespace to ensure reliable scanning. High contrast is particularly important at this scale.

A6 works well when one card is placed between every two or three guests. Its strength lies in portability and repetition, making participation visible without overwhelming the table setting.

Half A4 – Interactive and Informational

At 105 × 297 mm (4.1 × 11.7 inches), the Half A4 format provides additional vertical space for interactive or playful content beyond a simple upload prompt.

The extra space in a Half A4 layout makes room for interactive content such as an “I spy…” photo game. Guests are invited to take and upload photos matching specific prompts, gently encouraging more people to participate. For example: a group photo of your table, a selfie with the newlyweds, or a short video of the couple’s entrance.

Half A4 works particularly well in places where guests are seated for a period of time, such as dinner tables or during the wedding ceremony. In these moments, guests have time to engage and may be sitting with people they do not know well. An interactive prompt can act as a natural icebreaker, encouraging conversation and shared participation while increasing uploads.

Business Card Format – Subtle and Discreet

At approximately 85 × 55 mm (3.35 × 2.16 inches), the business card format is intentionally minimal. Including a subtle “Take me home” call to action works particularly well at this size, as the cards are small enough to slip into a pocket or purse and can be referenced later, making it easy for guests to upload at their convenience.

It integrates discreetly into place settings, favour boxes, or alongside existing stationery. The QR code must remain large enough to scan comfortably, with concise text and adequate margins to preserve reliability.

This format works best when provided one per guest, either at individual place settings or positioned beside wedding favours. Its strength lies in subtle repetition, giving guests the flexibility to upload later if they prefer.

Stickers – Flexible and Adaptable

Sticker formats allow couples to retrofit existing signage, menus, favour packaging, or table numbers without redesigning their full stationery suite.

For reliable performance, maintain sufficient scale and use a matte finish to reduce glare. White backgrounds preserve contrast and scanning consistency.

Stickers are particularly useful for last-minute adjustments or venues with fixed signage templates.
